Benchmark Cottage sits at Stage 13 of the UK’s renowned Coast-to-Coast route and is a stylishly converted, stone built stable dating back to 1821.

Guests at Benchmark Cottage can enjoy:

• Safe off-road, private parking for 2 cars with a dedicated, Type 2 Electric Vehicle charging station available on site (untethered);
  
• A peaceful, gravelled seating area up to the cottage, affording views down the village lane and across to the adjacent River Esk;
• Two dedicated sun terraces and lawns to the side and front of the cottage, allowing guests to follow the sun from dawn right through to late evening;
• Full outdoor seating and barbecuing facilities for relaxed Summer dining;
• Unique access* to the banks of the River Esk through the hosts’ privately owned land directly opposite the cottage – an idyllic tranquil space to observe river life and listen to the gentle, calming flow of the river.
